Vice-president IMANI Africa, Bright Simons has fingered the Development Bank Ghana (DBG) for blowing World Bank and European cash like water.
According to Bright Simons, fierce battles are raging in the plush hallways of Ghana’s newly minted Development Bank Ghana with two directors of the Bank jumping ship.
In a write-up on his X page, Bright Simon noted the Development Bank Ghana was set up with $730m from the World Bank, Govt of Ghana, and European banks.
He wrote on X, “Devt Bank Ghana (DBG) was set up with ~$730m from the World Bank, Govt of Ghana & European banks, making it awash with cash!”
“Now, internal auditors are at the throats of management, 2 Directors have jumped ship, & filla about waste is flowing like water!”, his write-up reiterated.
The Development Bank Ghana was set up to address the appallingly low private sector credit levels in Ghana.
