A netizen on social media has alleged that the contractor linked to the Kasoa blasting is connected to the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
According to Albert Nat Hyde commonly known as Bongo Ideas per his digging the contractor responsible for the Kasoa blasting is connected to the vice President of Ghana,
He also alleged that the contractor hired the Chinese guys as foremen because they were cheap labor compared to the local guys.
His full post read, “Per my digging, the contractor responsible for the Kasoa blasting is connected to the vice president & also he hired these Chinese guys as foremen cos they’re cheaper labour as compared to the local guys. The big man behind this is at Peduase rn chilling”.
According to reports, the contractor in charge of the construction of the Winneba-Kasoa highway is Fairmount Company Limited, reports suggest they regularly blast some rocks impeding their work with regular announcements to residents.
However, yesterday, the company refused to announce the schedule and went ahead to blast the rocks without the knowledge of the community members leading to the death of three people with injuries to 39 others.
