Ghanaian-based US social commentator Kevin Taylor has alleged that the ruling NPP government has sold the Consolidate Bank of Ghana (CBG).
According to the US-based vlogger, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) led government has already sold the bank and is just waiting for the final signature.
In Kelvin Taylor’s post on X, he shared a letter from a group called Velocia Investment Management Company SA which has expressed an interest in acquiring the Consolidated Bank of Ghana.
Parts of their letter read, “Please accept this letter as confirmation of our interest to acquire the entire outstanding share capital of a Consolidated Bank of Ghana Limited (CGB) from the government.
The Velocia group, in their letter addressed to the Managing Director of the Bank, Mr. Daniel Addo, asserted they have already done preliminary due diligence of the CBG and believe their team and partners have the experience and financial resources to accelerate CBD’s turnaround.
Kelvin Taylor in his post also added that he has done his and it is now up to Ghanaians to do theirs.
