There are growing concern among health workers as cholera cases in the country keep rising. So far Ghana health Service has confirmed 43 cholera cases with 2 deaths.
12 persons are on admission and close to 200 suspected cases all within the Ada East and West districts of the Greater Accra Region.
According to health officials, some of the cases were transported from neighboring countries who are equally reporting cases of cholera.
The Ghana Health Service on October 11 announced the outbreak of cholera in the Ada West and East districts of the Greater Accra Region.
The Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service, Dr Franklyn Asiedu Bekoe stated that Following the declaration of the outbreak, several key interventions are being rolled out by the various District Security Coordinating Councils.
