Ghanaian youth are back on the streets today for day two of the 3-day #Free the Citizens protest to demand the release of the 53 remanded democracy hub protestors and an end to illegal mining.
Yesterday, the group petitioned the Attorney General to file a Nolle Prosequi for the release of the detained protestors.
Today they will be presenting a petition to the Lands Minister, Samuel Abdulai Jinapor.
This thoughtful gesture aimed to nourish those advocating against illegal mining and calling for the release of detained demonstrators.
