A supporter of Nana Kwame Bediako the New Force has used a map of Ghana to explain Cheddar’s vision of bringing the sea to Kumasi.
According to the supporter, it is very simple to bring the sea to Kumasi. If you go to China, they have created an artificial sun but in Ghana, if someone says he will create a sun he would be described as a mad person.
Speaking to some Ghanaians, while displaying the map of Ghana, he detailed, “We are going to use a caterpillar machine to open the roads, and we will fix it well so that cars will be able to use them, the roads leading to Kumasi and Accra are small, all you need is to get a machine to open the road, so if the ship comes it will get access to Kumasi to the sea, it is very simple, this should not surprise anyone”.
“If you go to China they have created an artificial sun, if a Ghanaian says he will create a sun we will tell him he is mad, if Nana Kwame Bediako says he will bring the sea to Kumasi this is the map we have brought, just look at the map it is possible, the rivers are already connected”, he added.
Many Ghanaians are however skeptical about the feasibility of Nana Kwame Bediako’s project.
His vision has sparked debate and aims to transform the economic landscape by making Kumasi a hub for sea transport, potentially opening new trade routes and opportunities.
Nana Kwame Bediako’s plan draws inspiration from the Manchester Canal, where inland areas have been connected to the sea, suggesting a similar opportunity for Ghana.
