Ghanaian media personality, has chastised Muslim Youth who forcible broke through a barricade set up by the Ghana Police on the Kawukudi stretch.
In a post on X, Captain Smart quoted the video of the clash, saying, “I don’t support this attitude one bit … this is bad!”
The Ghana Police as part of maintaining the free flow of traffic, and ensuring a safe demonstration by #FreeTheCitizens blocked access to the Kawukudi highway.
Unfortunately, the Muslim youth demanded access through the sealed off area but the Police refused, asking them to use an alternative route.
The youth who will not take no for an answer went on a rampage and forcefully made their way through the police barricade.
The youth claim to be an entourage of the National Chief Imam and argued the police had blocked the road the Chief Imam used to the mosque on Fridays.
Not long after the youth broke through the barricade, a motorcade with Police escorts and the Chief Imam’s car came through the exact spot.
There have been questions on the lips of many, asking why the policemen moving with the Chief Imam’s entourage could not communicate to their colleagues leading to this confrontation.
