A candlelight vigil has been announced for Maame Dwomoh Boateng and Justine Agbenu the two beautiful young victims who died in the East Legon Accident on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
The all-white Virgil will take place today October 18, 2024, at 5 pm.
The accident, which involved a 16-year-old son, Elrad Salifu Amoako, led to the deaths of two beautiful girls.
According to the Ghana Police Service statement, Elrad was driving a Jaguar SUV crashed into a 4×4 Acura vehicle driven by Joseph Ackah with four occupants.
The collision caused both vehicles to catch fire, flaming beyond recognition.
In court on 16 October 2024, the prosecution claimed Linda Bonsu Bempah, the sales attendant, “gave the key to the vehicle to the 16-year-old, knowing very well that he was a minor and did not have a driving license”.
Bishop Salifu Amoako and Mouha Amoako were charged with allowing an unlicensed person to drive but pleaded not guilty to the crime and have both since been granted bail of GHc 50,000.
The third accused, Linda Bempah, also pleaded not guilty and has also been granted bail.
