Member of Parliament (MP) for the Adaklu Constituency in the Volta Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwame Governs Agbodza, has urged Ghanaians not to trust the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Digging up an old video of an NPP manifesto launch, where Dr. Bawumia promised there will be no villages in Ghana without potable water and toilet facilities.
“In the 1st two years of an NPP administration, under this infrastructure for poverty eradication programme where every constituency will get $1m every for rural and deprived communities. Under this programme there should be no village or community in Ghana after the first two years that would have a water problem or a toilet problem,” Dr. Bawumia was heard to be saying to the gathering of NPP faithful.
Kwame Governs Agbodza captioned the video, “Can you trust this man?”
Fast forward some years down the line, the NPP government has been in power for two terms and none of the promises made have been realized, and Dr. Bawumia now the Presidential Candidate of the NPP is seeking to be voted as Ghana’s president in the December 7, 2024 polls.
