There have been a number of protests organized in Ghana over the years on several issues, ranging from corruption, high cost of living, sanitation amongst others.
During these demonstrations, Ghanaians have expressed their displeasure with various kinds of placards and inscriptions.
Currently, the country’s youth are embarking on series of demonstrations, calling for an end to illegal mining (galamsey). The most recent demonstrations were organized by Democracy Hub and under the hashtags #FreeTheCitizens and #SayNoToGalamsey.
A number of interesting placards have popped up with one of the very significant ones being “BREAKING THE OHI3 F3FL3.”
This inscription goes against the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) mantra of making history in Ghana by being the first political party to stay in power past two successive terms.
This goes to show the level of displeasure the citizenry has for the government and their desire to kick them out of power.
Sorry if you don’t understand Ga. Just tag a Ga person to explain 😂 #FreeTheCitizens #StopGalamseyNow pic.twitter.com/r4ln85kXH8
