Before his time with Asante Kotoko, Yamoah Ponko served as the Chief Executive of the Ejisu/Juaben Municipal Assembly, where he was recognized for his contributions to the development of the community. He later became a prominent figure in Asante Kotoko, playing an instrumental role in the football club’s affairs.
His death is seen as a significant loss to both the football community and Ghana’s political landscape, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and public service.
