Controversial social media influencer and blogger, Nat Bongo Hyde popularly known as Bongo ideas has reacted to a video of the President being given money by an unidentified man.
The President in accompaniment of the Regional Minister for Greater Accra, the Minister for Roads and Highways and other dignitaries were in attendance at the official opening of the Spintex road flyover on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. The flyover according to reports began in 2017 with an initial plan which changed due to the road dynamics. It becomes one of the longest flyover roads in West Africa.
During the opening ceremony, a trending video trending on the Internet captured the President being given an undisclosed amount of money by an unidentified official who was with him. The video captured the man moving to sit behind the President after he gave the money to the President to which the President pushed into his pocket.
The video has garnered lots of views amidst reactions. One of such reactions is the one of Bongo ideas.
Known for his hard hitting and no emotions words, he described the video and the act of money handling by the President as shameful. He also said the President will go down in history as the first Head of government to handle money publicly.
He further added that, the money handling had no composure, thereby making the Presidency look like some school prefect position.
