Togo will be the alternative destination for the next Black Stars home game against Sudan in the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Black Stars home game against Sudan is slated for October 7, 2024.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reportedly begun discussions with Togolese authorities and is expected to announce the home venue for the game.
Ghana currently is without a stadium fit to host a CAF category 3 game after the ban on the Baba Yara Sports Stadium which was the only certified facility to host a Black Stars game.
Until the Baba Yara Stadium is back to code, the Black Stars will play all home games in the ongoing 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers on a neutral ground outside Ghana.
Meanwhile, the National Sports Authority has announced the closure of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and Accra Sports Stadium to make way for maintenance before CAF’s inspection team arrives.
