Ghanaian Afrobeat and Trap music sensation Black Sherif remains the only Ghanaian with the highest single song streams on Audiomack as at November 4, 2024.
According to African Fact Zone, the 2023 VGMA Artist of the Year’s popular Kwaku the traveler song finds itself amongst the world’s most streamed songs on Audiomack placing 9 out of 28 songs. The chart has Black Sherif as the only Ghanaian Artist in there with his song amassing 80.7 million streams ahead of Kizz Daniel’s Cough, Omah Lay’s Reason and Chike’s Egwu featuring the late Mohbad.
The chart as revealed by African Fact Zone is toppled by Nigerian Musicians citing their high influence on digital streams and music market. The Chart also sees Asake dominating with three of his sons on the top five list. Asake’s Lonely at the top sits at the top coincidentally with 152 million streams, followed by Fireboy’s Bandana which featured Asake amassing 111 million streams.
The rest that made the top fives are Asake’s Amapiano which featured his boss Olamide with 103 million streams, Terminator by Asake comes fourth with 96.8 million streams with Ayra Starr’s Rush completing the number 5 position with 94.8 million streams.
This reports leaves Black Sherif climbing up to par with the likes of Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Fuse ODG as Ghana’s most marketed musicians. His rise since his debut first sermon song has been phenomenal earning him amirations across the globe for his style of passionate and resonating lyrics.
