Ghana artiste, Black Sherif, sarcastically posted a photo of Shatta Wale on his snapchat, poking fan at the dancehall artiste.
In the photo, Shatta Wale who had posed for a picture was wearing a white brief with the inscription, ‘Calvlein’ on the waistline.
For many, this post was meant to poke fun at Shatta Wale for wearing a fake brand.
The post from Black Sherif is believed to be in response to Shatta Wale’s earlier criticism about the former having a poor fashion sense.
However, some social media users came to the defense of Shatta Wale saying a stitching line is what made the brand name read ‘Calvlein’, and that he always wore authentic brand names.
Not long after Black Sherif’s post, Shatta Wale revealed the ‘Calvlein’ briefs was part of a broader strategy to generate buzz ahead of the release of a music video for his latest project, ‘Wash’.
He later shared the original pictures of him wearing Calvin Klein underwear.
Black Sherif was quick to delete the mocking picture after this revelation with Shatta Wale having the last laugh, saying he had once again “scammed” people.
