Ghanaian Afrobeats/ Highlife singer, Kelyvn Boy, has joined in on the ongoing #FreeTheCitizens campaign.
In a post on X, he called on the Vice President and NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia to get involved with the arrests of individuals involved in the recent protests and make a difference.
“@MBawumia your time to make a difference is now! #FreetheCitizens” he said.
He asserted that the actions of the government could negatively affect Dr. Bawumia’s quest to become the next president of the country in the coming elections hence his request for the Vice President to get involved.
“This gov is making it more and more difficult for their next candidate to win in December. Where did citizens go wrong?“FreetheCitizens” he noted.
Some netizens are questioning the musician’s call to action.
While some believe he is genuinely concerned about the current events in the country, others suspect his motives, suggesting he may be seeking political gain or aligning with a specific party.
