A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications Team, George Opoku Amponsah, has declared that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s presidential candidate, is the only contender who meets the necessary standards for the upcoming December elections.
He asserted that Dr. Bawumia will not engage with questions from John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, as Mahama does not meet the required presidential standards.
He emphasized that as Ghana approaches the December elections, citizens should focus on evaluating the accomplishments of the two presidential candidates to make informed decisions, rather than indulging in unnecessary questions designed to garner attention.
He noted that Mahama and the NDC lack substantial message and seek to leverage Dr. Bawumia’s popularity, which the NPP will not permit.
Mr. Amponsah highlighted the numerous initiatives undertaken by the Nana-Addo-Bawumia government, including the free Senior High School education program, the one constituency one ambulance program, and the District Roads Improvement Project (DRIP) machines for road construction.
He asserted that the NDC has no meaningful message, and their campaign is struggling.
Therefore, they aim to rely on Dr. Bawumia to revive their campaign, which the NPP will not facilitate by engaging with Mahama’s questions.
