The former president of Ghana John Agyekum Kufuor has said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the best person to save Ghana with the help of God.
According to John Agyekum Kufuor, he has a strong conviction that with the current state of Ghana, Bawumia is the best person.
Former President Kufuor speaking to the media, he stated, “He has not come to lobby me, he didn’t come to lobby me, my government there was knowledgeable, but I will not mention names”.
“I have said it, and some people didn’t understand it, I have looked at a lot of things, and I have seen that child, Ghana, if you look at how the world is going, if Ghana is put in his hand with God blessing he will help Ghana to rise hurriedly”, he added.
Former President John Agyekum Kufuor served as the President of Ghana from 7 January 2001 to 7 January 2009, his victory over John Evans Atta Mills after the end of Jerry Rawlings’ second term marked the first peaceful democratic transition of power in Ghana since independence in 1957.
Meanwhile, former president Kufuor has been in the news for the past week after endorsing Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as “the best choice to lead the country, especially during the current economic crisis.”
