The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, has vowed to establish a Gari Factory in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa district if he wins the upcoming December 7th elections.
Speaking at a mini rally in the Brakwa enclave during his tour of the Central Region, Mahama emphasized the area’s rich natural resources, including fertile land and water, which he believes could support a successful factory.
He said the project would help boost local agriculture, create jobs, and reduce unemployment in the community.
John Mahama emphasized that an NDC administration would prioritize job creation and economic growth, criticizing the current NPP government for mismanaging the economy.

“A strong economy is the foundation of a prosperous country. When the economy thrives, it creates money and jobs,” he stated, assuring his audience of a renewed focus on restoring economic stability
He also accused the NPP of failing to deliver on their promises to Ghanaians, noting that while in opposition, the NPP claimed Ghana was not a poor country, yet now, with them in power, resources seem scarce.
“They said Ghana wasn’t a poor country, but now the money is nowhere to be found,” he remarked.
He outlined his intention to work with the Ghana Exim Bank to establish the Gari Factory in Brakwa.
