Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has earned a spot in the English Premier League Team of the Week following his standout performance against Manchester City last Saturday.
The 24-year-old scored as Bournemouth ended the champions’ unbeaten run in the league with a 2-1 victory at Vitality Stadium. Semenyo was a constant threat to City’s defense, especially troubling Kyle Walker on the right, as he showcased his speed and skill.
Joining Semenyo in Troy Deeney’s BBC Team of the Week for Matchday 10 are Bournemouth teammates Adam Smith and Lewis Cook. The team also features Nigeria’s Ola Aina from Nottingham Forest, former teammate Dominic Solanke now at Tottenham Hotspur, and Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United.
Southampton’s Aaron Ramsdale and Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Tottenham’s Radu Dragusin, Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo, and Joao Gomes of Wolves complete the lineup.
Semenyo has now scored four goals in ten Premier League appearances this season.
