A video has emerged of another galamseyer threatening to buy a gun and storm homes to kill and rob Ghanaians.
In the viral video, the galamsey stated he was going to use his income gained from galamsey to purchase a gun.
The galamseyer said, “We are coming to steal in Ghana, the money I have acquired from galamsey unless I use it to go and buy a gun and use it to rob”.
“If you are going to ban galamsey if I go and buy a gun it is not a crime, you will be sleeping in your room and I will knock when u open the door, I will attack you”, he added.
The galamseyer further went on to threaten the first gentleman of Ghana over his recent initiative to stop galamsey.
The galamseyer boldly stated, “President Akufo-Addo should be there saying he would ban galamsey, let him ban it we will see, we will all go into armed robbery, even Akufo-Addo if we get him, we will rob him, he should stop the foolishness”.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has since in a press statement dated October 9, 2024, directed the Minister for Defense to deploy additional military forces to intensify the ongoing “Operation Halt”, which aims to curb illegal mining activities.
