Dr. Ayew Afriyie the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Effiduase Asokore has claimed that a galamsey Kingpin and known NDC financier have been arrested at Anyinam.
According to the Member of Parliament, the Kyebi Police Command in the Eastern region is taking him together with 8 others arrested galamseyers to court.
Speaking on Angel FM, Dr. Ayew Afriyie said, “Two days ago, Ghana Armed Forces and a Small-Scale task force arrested galamseyers, the galamseyers claimed they were from Volta, I told you people, the galamseyers from Volta are Togolese, they claimed they are from Volta, our friends in the Volta region they don’t do that”.
“I will forward it to you, when they were caught, they mentioned the leader who brought them in, the leader who brought them into Ghana is called Noah from Anyinam, the people of Anyinam are listening when we finish open the phone lines let them call”, the MP boldly added.
Dr. Ayew Afriyie further revealed saying, “Noah who finances the NDC called Nana Anyimadu, his video is on my phone now as I am telling you now, they are going to court the news is going to come out, the major financier of the NDC claims the government is destroying the rivers and that Ghanaians should vote against them people know he is engaged in small-scale mining, but they did not know he was the one who brings in Togolese and Burkinabe to come and mine on our rivers”, Dr. Ayew claimed.
The member of parliament detailed how the claimed NDC financier was arrested, he said, “ The arrested galamseyers also revealed a Changfan machine was on its way coming with about 40 of them coming on the river bodies when they were arrested, the driver called Nana Anyimadu that he had been arrested he was the head of a family he got power and went to the task force that the Changfan machines seized about 40 of them were his, and the task force was not supposed to be here today, he is a leader, he uses that as a cover-up when he came he was also arrested”.
Dr. Ayew Afriyie claimed he has been vindicated claiming it is pure NDC. When he said it people said they didn’t understand and insulted him, he revealed he knew what he was saying because the small-scale miners for 6 months had been saying that people were importing people into the country.
