Deputy Communications Director of the opposition NDC, Malik Basintale has proclaimed that Allah has abandoned the Vice President and Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
He alleges that Dr. Bawumia has committed acts considered “haram” in Islam. Practically, the eating of pork meat.
Malik’s commentary at a recent NDC rally insinuated that Dr, Bawumia’s behaviour has led to divine disfavour, hence the NDC is the clear favourite ahead of the December polls.
“I know Bawumia has already caused haram to Allah so Allah does not remember Bawumia again. He is the first mulsim who enjoys pork more than the rest of the people,” he stated.
He further stressed doubts about the capabilities of Dr. Bawumia’s running mate, Opoku Prempeh popularly known as NAPO.
“I thought his running mate, Opoku Prempeh has a god who can face the NDC in 2025. Unfortunately, his god works for 8 hours and sleeps for 12 hours,” he added.
These remarks continue to add to the controversial nature of Ghana’s political space as tensions rise ahead of the general elections.
