The National Organizer for the New Patriotic Party, Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye popularly known as Nana B says, the current Speaker of the eighth Parliament, is already going down as the worst Speaker in Ghana’s history.
According to him, Speaker Bagbin has the rest of the days ahead of elections to redeem his image even though he has for the years of his speakership proven to be worst. He shared that, the beginning of his Speaker role was borne out of Chaos, recounting the election that saw a fight break out in Parliament on January 6, 2021.
He mentioned that coming into a role that was borne out of tension, the Ghanaian public expected the Speaker to control the narrative and maintain the house but several scenarios have shown that has not been the best. The recent declaration of four vacant seats which literally mean that those M.Ps are no longer lawmakers, he shared that is the reason for this constitutional and Parliamentary crisis all under Bagbin.
Nana B again in his submission shared that with the few days to the end of the eighth Parliament, if Speaker Bagbin ignores his image being rubbed in the dirt, he would be quickly forgotten or will be remembered only for his worst speakership.
