Founder and leader for the Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen has expressed disappointment at his former boss’s endorsement of Bawumia over him ahead of the December polls.
The longest serving Trades and Industries Minister, having to serve in the same portfolio under two regimes in an exclusive interview with Oyerepa T.V could not fathom the choosing of Dr. Bawumia over him as the best person to become president by his former boss, President Kufuor. Alan whom majority of both Ghanaians and NPP members held that he was the former President’s favorite in the party appeared not to be happy while reacting to the news.
He questioned the scale upon which his former boss used to weigh all candidates before arriving at the Bawumia decision. He shared that, he had all the requisite qualities over the Vice President to become Ghana’s next President.
He added that, the former President’s snub of him to endorse Bawumia came as a shock because, he is aware of the caliber of person he is having worked under him for several years. He also said majority of his success as a President can be attributed to the role he played when he served as his Trades and Industry Minister, leading some innovative policies that brought the dead economy back to life.
