Ghanaians on social media have tagged President Akufo-Addo as Nebuchadnezzar after unveiling a statue honoring himself.
The statue of Akufo-Addo is located at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi and was during his one-day “thank you” tour of the Western Region on Wednesday, November 6.
The Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah explained that the statue honors the president’s initiatives in the region.
The rehabilitation of Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, the construction of a 3-tier Sino hydro interchange, and the redevelopment of the Takoradi Market Circle.
Meanwhile, the above-mentioned project remains incomplete.
Ghanaians have taken to the social media pages on X, to tag President Akufo-Addo as the biblical King Nebuchadnezzar, who notably created a statue of himself and ordered his people to worship it.
