Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has accused President Akufo-Addo of only wanting to commission something to prove he has worked.
According to Sammy Gyamfi, the Bank of Ghana Square was supposed to be 10 stories, but they have only done about Six and Akufo-Addo has gone to commission it.
Speaking on Good Morning Ghana, he stated, “Akufo-Addo just wants to commission something to prove that he has worked, so you have gone to commission an uncompleted misplaced priority we should clap for you, that means that the economy is showing signs of recovery”.
“To add insult to injury he now reminds us of the biggest misplaced priorities in our country today, the uncompleted Bank of Ghana square, or they call it the bank square, a building that is supposed to be 8 story or 9 stories or 10 stories you have done about six-story it is uncompleted you assemble everybody there to commission because you have bereft of developmental project”, he added.
The new BoG headquarters was commissioned by President Akufo-Addo on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, despite strong opposition from the minority in parliament and some Ghanaians.
