Ghanaian Musician cum Politician, Kwame Asare Obeng has called out President Akufo-Addo as an ingrate who neglected his support when he won power.
Pursuant to the NPP’s 2016 victory, the Musician who is now contesting for the seat at Gomoa East was very influential and instrumental with his campaign songs and advocacy for the party. The Socialite has since been neglected according to him by the President and he shared how pained he is by the act of the President.
He minced no words in admitting that President Akufo-Addo is a generous and kind man to his friends and people around. He however bemoaned how such act of kindness and loyalty by the President was never extended to him after his contribution to the party’s victory in 2016.
“I am the friend he has neglected and he is aware of that himself. Akufo-Addo is very grateful when you do something for him, so he should explain to me why he neglected me, Kwame A Plus when I haven’t done anything to him”, he shared
He made these comments during an exclusive interview with UTV’s morning show on November 22, 2024. He openly declared that, he bears no grudge with the NPP as a whole but specifically the President. Sharing how he felt, he said he feels abandoned by Akufo-Addo. He also added that with the way the president has made him feel, he will never go near him again.
“I do not have an issue with anyone around me, its Nana Addo that I have an issue with. Even with that, it is a matter of disrespect. He is an elder so let’s forget about his role and address him personally. I will not go near him again”, he added.
