A member of Alan Kyeremanten’s butterfly movement, Movement for Change Lawyer Appiah Danquah has said President Akufo-Addo delivered a government-adverse to the oath he took when he was sworn in as Ghana’s president.
According to the member of the butterfly, President Akufo-Addo should be impeached by his own NPP members in parliament for not defending, protecting, and defending the constitution.
Speaking on Pan Africa TV in a video shared by Radio Gold FM, he said, “They delivered a governance that is averse to the oath he took, the oath to be faithful to Ghana, the oath to defend, protect, and defend the constitution of Ghana, and the oath to dedicate himself to the well-being of every Ghanaian to be fair to all manner of Ghanaians he breached that oath and the political party who tout their liberal democratic credential say they are firm believers in the concept of the rule of law those should be the one started the impeachment procedure against the president”.
“They should be calling for the impeachment of the president, but they won’t do that, they are showing that character and that spirit in how they have handled the issue of the parliamentary crisis they don’t care about Ghana”, he reiterated.
He also added the NPP is waging war on the democracy of Ghana by promoting acts of arbitrariness, which immediately supports those actions of waging a war against the rule of law.
