The presidential candidate of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama, has accused the Akufo-Addo-led administration of borrowing $11 billion between 2019 and 2021 without visible development results.
He claims that these funds have ended up in people’s pockets while essential infrastructure and services have been neglected.
John Mahama asserted that if he had access to such resources during his presidency, the country’s narrative would have been very different.
Speaking to the chiefs and residents of the Yunyoo constituency as he concluded his tour of the North East region, Mahama highlighted the rampant unemployment among the youth, attributing their struggles to the current government’s failure to build on the investments they inherited.
He also charged the gathering to be interested in the country’s debt and demand accountability from the ruling regime.
