The disqualified presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party Roman Fada has exposed the New Patriotic Party.
According to Roman Fada after the death of Akua Donkor on 28th October he started receiving calls to take money and step aside for the ballot positions to change in the 2024 elections.
Speaking on Oyerepa FM, Roman Fada revealed, “A party came to me that I should take money, and step aside so that the ballot position will change”.
“They told me to take the money so that someone would be shifted to the front, and I decided that no when the woman was alive, she said when she is not around, I can look after the party, why should I take money, she didn’t even take 1 cedi from me, and he gave me that position”, he revealed.
Roman Fada further detailed, “If I had taken the money by now our mother would not be on the ballot, when the woman died on the 28th of October at 10 pm, in the morning 29th of October, they started calling, they knew about the politics, and they knew this is how it is going to be”.
He further emphasized he does not care about someone at the number 8 or number 7 all he cares about is the fact that the late Akua Donkor is number 3 on the ballot paper for the 2024 elections.
Although Roman Fada did not mention any political party in particular netizens have been alleging it is the incumbent NPP who tried to bribe him for the NDC’s John Mahama position to be changed on the ballot paper.
Madam Akua Donkor passed away 35 days before the elections. His running mate was chosen by the party to contest but saw his nomination rejected by the Electoral Commission for errors in his filings.
The Electoral Commission refused to take off the party logo and image of Madam Akua Donkor from the printed ballot papers to avoid wastage of money and inconvenience and issued a directive afterward stating that any vote in the Presidential race for Akua Donkor would be recorded as a rejected ballot.
