The family of the late Akua Donkor has called for the government to create a statue in her honor so that the world will know that she was not a small person.
The founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) Akua Donkor has passed away.
Reports indicate she died at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital on Monday, October 28.
According to a family member, the late Akua Donkor achieved numerous projects in her hometown, like school buildings, a bus stop, a market, and a water pump.
They revealed that they desire a state burial and completion of hometown projects in her honor.
One of the family members who spoke to the media in saddest called on the state to create a statue to honor, her for everyone in the world to know that Akua Donkor was not a small person.
They added that Akua Donkor’s greatest heart desire was for children to go to school after she was mocked by Ghanaians and noted that there was no secondary school in their area and called on the government to fulfill the heart desire of the late Akua Donkor.
Maame Akua Donkor was commonly known for her amusing communications.
The late Akua Donkor was preparing to contest in the December polls for the third time after her previous attempts in 2012 and 2016 failed, although she was seeking to become president with a limited resource she was bothered.
She was a dedicated advocate for farmers and women’s rights with many campaign promises tailored to these groups.
