The Deputy Commissioner of the Electoral Commission, Dr. Asare Bossman has cautioned the general public against their intentions to vote for Akua Donkor on December 7.
In an interview, Dr. Bossman reiterated the Electoral Commission’s directive to declare all votes casted for Madam Akua Donkor as rejected ballot during the collation of results. He mentioned that even though the Commission has issued the directive against votes for Akua Donkor, he finds it important to reiterate it as the days get near especially to electorate who did not have access to the communique by the E.C.
He took turn to educate the public especially first time voters on how to vote eligibly so that their casted votes can be counted as part of the accepted ballot papers. He advised that first time voters seek clarity if they find it confusing at the polling station. He also declared that the Electoral Commission is fully and over prepared for the election with strategic measurement put in place to ensure a smooth process.
He further warned against any individual attempting to embark on a double voting syndicate because, they might end up disenfranchising other eligible voters. He added that, the ballots papers have been printed to fully cover all the registered and captured voters in the register.
