Reports have revealed that the Adabraka daylight robbers made away with a whopping GHC 6 million from the jewelry shop.
According to sources, the amount is said to have been a payment made to the occupants of the red Toyota Corolla for jewelry supplied to the shop.
Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the robbers approached the car with their guns and began firing multiple shots into the air to disperse the crowd.
The robbers quickly forced their way into the red Toyota, grabbing large sacks of cash. Within a few seconds, they loaded the bags into their getaway vehicle and fled the scene, while firing shots.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has made some progress in the robbery case by identifying the number plate of the getaway vehicle.
The getaway vehicle captured by the police security camera is a Toyota Highlander with registration number GN-7357- 19.
