The Aburi Girls Senior High School community is in shock after the unexpected death of their headmistress, Cynthia Anim, who passed away while on an educational trip in Rome, Italy.
Anim was participating in an international workshop along with the Deputy Minister of Education, other heads of senior high schools, and selected students. The workshop aimed to improve secondary education standards in Ghana.
In a formal announcement, Rev. E.A. Asiedu, Chairman of the school’s Board of Governors, conveyed the deep sense of loss: “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our Headmistress, Mrs. Cynthia Anim. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with her family and the entire Aburi Girls Senior High School community.”
To address the situation and plan for the future, an emergency board meeting has been scheduled for Monday, September 30th, at 10 a.m. in the school’s Boardroom.
Mrs. Anim was known for her unwavering commitment to education and her strong leadership in making Aburi Girls Senior High School a center of academic excellence. Her sudden loss is felt across the entire school community.
