Ghanaian lawyer and activist, Ama Governor has cried out over maltreatment suffered at the hands of the Ghana Police.
Ama Governor who was part of the Democracy Hub demonstrators, was arrested with a number of others two days ago for engaging in what they police describe as violent and a disruption of public order.
The activist who was brought before court today cried out to the press for being starved of food and water ever since her arrest.
“I want to go so they grant us bail, 48 hours, no food, no water.”
“You want us in this? You want to see a 26-year-old lawyer because she said Stop Galamsey. That’s our only crime, Stop Galamsey,” she screamed.
The arrested protestors who were arraigned before court today all had their bail denied, with another appearance before the courts being slated for 8th October.
