U.S. President Donald Trump has been captured in a video pocketing former Chelsea winger Noni Madueke’s Club World Cup medal.
In the viral video, Donald Trump, after he presented the winners’ medals to the Chelsea players, with one medal left, was directed by the FIFA president to come present the Club World Cup trophy to Reece James.
Trump then pocketed the medal meant for Maduake before he proceeded to present the trophy to the Chelsea players.
Noni Madueke, before he moved to Arsenal, featured in five of Chelsea’s six matches at the Club World Cup.
He was, however, granted permission by Chelsea to go back to London to complete his move to Arsenal.
Also, Marc Cucurella, in an interview, had earlier revealed that Donald Trump had pocketed Noni Madueke’s winners’ medal.
“I think he missed a good opportunity. He wasn’t starting, but with everything about his transfer, he could have delayed it a day or two; it wouldn’t have cost him anything,” he said.
He then joked about Trump’s unexpected souvenir:
“He [Trump] put it in his pocket. He has it there in the White House, very well placed,” he added.
Chelsea won the Club World Cup by thrashing the European Champions Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 to become World Champions.
