The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has sent several students home over indecent dressing.
On Wednesday, July 2, the UPSA students were sent home by a task force.
According to reports, the move follows an earlier warning on June 30, 2025, warning students that the School authority would no longer tolerate inappropriate attire on campus.
The information gathered suggests, affected students were asked to leave the classroom to return to their homes or hostels to change.
The UPSA move follows renewed efforts by the university to enforce its code of conduct among students.
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have reacted to the video by saying, “See, you choose to be in the corporate world. Do what is required. They are all part of the training.
When you are with your parents, you can go naked and no one cares.
One more stated, “Why is this so difficult for Ghanaian students?”. Wait, where is the unprescribed dress???? This nonsense must stop it is 2025”.
“I know they won’t understand this today, but go to any workplace and check the dressing of the UPSA NSS students. Especially the Business students and compared with those of other schools. Very professional. One generation can’t destroy all standards”. One more netizen stated.
Another stated, “Take teacher training and nursing schools, for example. If you choose to be in those institutions, you must comply with their rules. I don’t think they were made aware of the school’s code of conduct before they joined”.
Additionally, one more added, “But let’s put jokes aside, this is tertiary level. If you have your code of conduct, you have ways of dealing with the students. Not this way come on.
This is wrong. They are not kids. High school teachers won’t even do this”.
