They later stopped the media men from recording the video.

Also, information gathered suggests that three senior officials of the McDan Group have reportedly been picked up by National Security operatives.

Reports suggest the Senior Officials were picked up after the demolition of a McDan warehouse under construction at Spintex.

Sources reveal the three were taken to the National Security Zone.

Ghanaian business mogul Dr Daniel McKorley, popularly known as McDan Warehouse at Spintex, was demolished by alleged military men.

According to reports by UTV, the demolishing work occurred on Monday, July 28, 2025, along the Spintex Road in Accra.

One of the workers at the warehouse, speaking to UTV, stated, “We were here when they came with excavators. We asked them to allow us to take out our items from the warehouse because this is where we sleep, but they said no, that it was too late. We told them again that this is where we sleep, but they started demolishing the place.

“The excavator broke down, so they left and came back later with another machine; two machines got spoiled.

Where were there in the evening around 8, and they came with two more machines, and they started to demolish the building. A worker wanted to video it, but a military man beat him up”, a man stated.

The security man for the warehouse added, “I am the security man here. We were around at about 6:28 P.M. when the soldiers arrived in two pickups. We had no idea they were here to demolish the building. We didn’t know they were coming to demolish the building. All we saw was that they brought excavators.

“We pleaded with them to allow us to take our belongings, even our beds, but they refused, saying it was too late. We later managed to sneak out our beds during the demolition.”

A third worker narrated, “They kept telling us to leave without offering any explanation. Two of the machines broke down, and they brought another one. We wanted to take out our things, but one of the soldiers said no, we couldn’t take anything”.

Meanwhile, reports suggest JoyNews journalist Carlos Calony was also picked up when covering the scenes of the demolition.
