The Ghanaian student is appealing for over $29,000 to enable her to graduate this December.

According to her, she has been placed on a registration hold due to her inability to settle the outstanding balance on her account.

She explained that despite raising some funds through donations and part-time work, the restriction on international students working more than 20 hours limited her ability to earn enough.

She also turned to her father, who is her sole financial supporter, but he was unable to provide sufficient help due to income constraints in Ghana’s cedi-based economy.

The Health Science student at Howard University is now seeking support from the public and benevolent individuals to fulfil her dream of graduating and advancing her education to become a physician assistant, with the ultimate goal of returning to serve medically underserved communities in Ghana.

Some Ghanaian have reacted to the video by saying, “ But how did she apply? How did she show proof of funds, because I thought you needed to show you could fund your education when applying for these universities?”.

Another stated, “Student loans are easy to acquire in the state; she should go for that”.

“This one dier madam, it’s not clear at all, you know you can’t afford so why did you start in the first place. Whilst we have universities here. Or you had a scholarship and lose it? If that’s the case, too, the reason why id id be interested to know”, one more Ghanaian stated.

“Which ever motivation or calculations that sent u there will see u through. Nice ascent though”, one more Ghanaian stated.

Additionally, one more netizen added, “Please come back home…. We have serious issues to tackle as a country, not this”.
