Disaster has struck at the funeral of the late Philipa Frimpong aka Yaa Baby, as a pickup truck transporting a group of youth to the cemetery crashed at Kumasi IPT.
According to reports, four people are currently feared dead, with several others injured.
The late Philipa Frimpong, aka Yaa Baby, was fatally shot in Seker, a suburb of the Pru East District was killed by a Ghanaian TikToker, Hayford Boateng, commonly known as GH Kobby.
The information gathered suggests the tragic incident happened around 3:00 pm on June 10.
According to reports, the young lady in her 20s was shot by his boyfriend after they visited the village with two other friends.
Reports indicate the victim sustained a gunshot wound to her left arm.
A vehicle was intercepted by the police reportedly fleeing the scene. The victim was rushed to St. Martin’s Hospital in Yeji but succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The culprit has been identified as Hayford Boateng, 31, the boyfriend.
Hayford Boateng, 31 is in custody together with his two friends, Kojo Emmanuel, 28, and Michael Kabutey, 34.
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have shared their opinion on the tragic incident by saying, “they just feel like dying cos what the hell is this? the people sitting on top are very stoooooopid”.
“When I say poor are the problems then some gyimie niii will come and tell me other wise mmoaaaaa poor people don’t even check their self before doing some certain things”, a netizen stated.
Another netizen wrote, “Saa Gyimi Wei youth no ngyae yɛ, every young person’s funeral you’ll see his/her cohorts fooling with cars. They were going for funeral now we’ll be doing theirs”
