Paul Adom-Otchere, the former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), has alleged that the office of the Special Prosecutor sent him a letter requesting his presence and later leaked it to the media.
The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) ordered the former Ghana Airports Company Limited Board Chair, Paul Adom-Otchere, to present himself for questioning.
According to reports, the OPS has invited Paul Adom Otchere in over a corruption probe into a revenue assurance audit deal.
On July 25, 2025, an official letter named Adom-Otchere as a suspect in its probe.
The probe has to do with an alleged corruption and corruption-related offences arising from a contract between GACL and a private firm.
The OSP has asked Adom Otchere to appear before the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, at the OSP headquarters in Accra today, July 31, 2025.
The information gathered suggests Adom Otchere has confirmed receipt of the letter; however, he requested an adjournment of the meeting to Monday, August 4, 2025.
Adom Otchere, responding to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) orders for him to present himself for questioning on his show, the Good Evening show.
He is quoted by GHONE TV to have stated, “The OSP sent me a letter, requesting my presence and then quickly leaked it to the media”.
Speaking on his show, Good Evening show, Adom Otchere narrated, “You don’t have 20 per cent MD drop them to 16 per cent, so it was agreed, and then MD was told that go ahead and do the things you have to do, those are due diligence, public procurement and then get the document done. This was around November.
So, this was the last thing I heard about that process. Then December came, then the election came soon after the election, we were out by January, we had resigned, all of us had resigned”.
According to Adom Otchere, it was Manasseh Azure who informed him that the GACL MD had signed the contract.
He added, “I didn’t know they had signed the contract, some 10 days ago, Manasseh Azure called me that he was investigating this matter, so when the OSP came, all the Lawyers were wondering are they were working together.
Manasseh Azure was one of the people you had been talking about. Kissi Agyebeng is one of the people you have been talking about; they seem to be working together, but I don’t know, and it does not matter.
Manasseh Azure called me and said Who is Eva? What is the Evatest contract? And I said What was that, he said Evatest, the people doing quality assurance, I said The people who do the think SML does he said yes. I said I don’t know about it, I don’t know what it gone to”.
Paul Adom Otchere added, “It was Manasseh Azure who told me that the contract has been signed by the Managing Director on the 4th of December, three days to the election”.
