The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has announced that Raphael Mensah, a 42-year-old IT engineer commonly known as Odoi, who was declared wanted, has surrendered to authorities.
According to the Office of the Special Prosecutor, Raphael Mensah voluntarily returned to Ghana and surrendered to the authorities.
Raphael Mensah was granted bail of GHS 100,000 with two sureties and has been ordered to deposit his passport.
He is also to report to the OSP every two weeks.
The 42-year-old has been accused of aiding and abetting the illegal use of a public office for personal gain.
In an X post, the OSP wrote, “The wanted individual has returned from abroad, surrendered, and was placed before the court today.
He was granted bail of GHS 100,000 with two sureties, ordered to deposit his passport, and report to the OSP every two weeks”.
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have reacted to the OSP update by saying, “Good one OSP…. keep working hard for Ghanaians have faith and trust in you. This is a new chapter to me the office strong. NOTE: no one is above the law!!”.
“Their name was not in the news of people wey chop or spend money, buh here we are today. Good work done @ospghana”, another added.
One more netizen wrote, “Good news but please any news from the junior shepherd of corruption??? #KenOforiAtta”.
