Maurice Ampaw, a private legal practitioner and radio show host on Wontumi TV, has fired shots at Ken Agyapong, an NPP presidential candidate hopeful for the 2028 election.
The radio show host accused Ken Agyapong of a lack of principle and faking support for the NPP’s 2024 election.
According to Maurice Ampaw, Ken Agyapong was just following Dr Mahamudu Bawumia around and was praying for his downfall.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, Maurice Ampaw stated, “Make politics a bit attractive. Sometimes, politicians make it easier for us to see that they are fake”.
“So all this while that Kennedy Agyapong was following Bawumia, he was praying for his downfall so that he takes over?” Ampaw asked pointedly.
He quizzed, “What kind of personality is this? You are not being principled. If you don’t believe in him, why did you join his campaign?” he quizzed.
Also, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the former spokesperson for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team for the 2024 election, has fired shots at the Kennedy Agyapong team.
Miracles Aboagye has claimed the Kennedy Agyapong team is robbing the New Patriotic Party of its shine.
Speaking on Citi Eyewitness News on Monday, July 21, Dennis Miracles Aboagye stated, “I think it is a sad situation. It is sad that anytime the party is taking its shine and taking its glory, we will have such issues coming up and basically robbing the party of its shine. I mean, this is completely unfounded. Where is this coming from?”
“Everybody at the stadium and all those who were watching on TV acknowledged the beauty of the occasion. First of all, Saturday had nothing to do with contestants. There was no single individual at the venue on Saturday who was more important than the party NPP. It was all about NPP on Saturday.”
He further added, “I think it is quite unfair on the party that after such a successful event, we have to be saddled with this conversation. It is high time Kwesi Kwarteng and co stop this. It is unfair to the party. Basically, they are robbing the party of its shine.”
Meanwhile, Justin Kodua, the NPP’s General Secretary, has cried out that the party has become so polarised.
Justin Kodua revealed that members of the NPP no longer examine issues based on the substance but rather based on their benefits and the camps they belong to.
