The husband of Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, commonly known as Agradaa, Angel Asiamah, has said he is willing to wait for his wife to complete her 15-year jail sentence without engaging in sexual relations.
According to Angel Asiamah, many people have questions him if he can wait for Agradaa.
He revealed that he lived without sex until the age of 25, and therefore, another 15 years is not beyond his capacity to endure.
Speaking during his sermon on Sunday, Angel Asiamah stated, “This thing that has happened, can you stand? Can you stay? I said Why won’t I stay?. They have forgotten that when I was born as a baby, from 1 year to 25 years old, I had never touched a woman. They have forgotten.
If I could stay during that time, today I can stand, even if it takes 15 years, I can still stand”.
Also, a 15-year-old daughter of Agradaa has spoken in a viral video on social media.
Agradaa’s daughter, in a heartfelt speech on her mum’s 15-year sentence, pleaded with the court to free her mother.
According to her, she is only 15 years old and needs her mom’s love and care.
In the viral video, Agradaa’s daughter stated, “Mummy is gone, 15 years is long, what am I to do?… I need my mom, her love and care.
Please, can the court show mercy and spare her? I am just a kid with a heart that breaks. See Mummy’s photograph on the news, YouTube and papers.
She added, “I need her smile, her hugs and songs. I want her home where she belongs. My friends at school were kind and said they would pray. But I cant wait day after day.
Dear court, consider my plea. Can Mummy come home and be with me? I will be strong and brave, but without Mummy, it is hard to behave. Please, can you help and wipe away my tears?”
Agradaa’s 15-year sentencing
Agradaa was sentenced by Her Honour Evelyn Asamoah of the Circuit Court to 15 years in prison.
She was sentenced for two counts of defrauding by false pretences.
Agradaa was also fined GH¢300 for one count of charlatanic advertisement, with a 30-day custodial sentence in default of payment.
The charges stem from a televised advertisement she aired in 2022.
In the ad, Agradaa claimed she possessed the power to double the money for her congregants at the Godsway International Heaven Church.
She misled them into surrendering their money during an all-night church service at her Weija-based ministry in Accra.
She was sentenced to jail for 15 years with hard labour.
The Judge, Evelyn Asamoah, stated that Agradaa skilfully executed the offences and did not show remorse.
Also, in a separate case, the High Court has ordered Agradaa to appear on July 30.
She was directed to open her defence to charges, including the non-consensual sharing of intimate images in an ongoing case filed by preacher Osofo Appiah, also known as Osofo Biblical.
The complainant alleges that he was assaulted by individuals believed to be close associates of Agradaa during her time as a fetish priestess.
Meanwhile, Evangelist Mama Pat, formerly known as Agradaa, made an appearance at the Amasaman High Court on July 15, 2025.
According to her lawyer, they came to court seeking bail pending an appeal against her 15-year prison sentence; however, the judge did not grant the request.
EOCO plans to shut down Agradaa’s church
Also, the information gathered suggests the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) is reportedly commencing plans to shut down Evangelist Patricia Asiedua Heaven Way Champion International Church.
According to reports, EOCO has received complaints from Ghanaians and some former church members of Agradaa’s church.
There have been allegations levelled against Mama Pat of financial wrongdoing, misappropriation of church funds, and fraudulent schemes hidden as spiritual rituals.
Eoco closing down Agradaa’s Heaven Way Champion International Church will come as another blow to her, as she is already serving a 15-year jail term.
