A viral video has surfaced of a moment a daring thief broke into a home at Tanoso, Kumasi.
According to reports, the thief made away with a laptop, money and other valuables.
In the viral video shared on X, the thief was captured on CCTV breaking into the home at midnight.
He was later spotted coming out with a bag and made his attempt to escape through the electric wired fence.
Some Ghanaians have reacted to the video by saying, “So the electric fence isn’t working or what”.
“Fence wall with electric wires, how did he manage to escape ?eii”, another stated.
One netizen stated, “This is an inside job, this fellow is familiar with the set up in this house not just a random burglar”.
“How did he enter the house? Whats the importance of CCTV if it can’t alert you of criminals? Then Dogs are far better than CCTV ngl”, another stated.
Additionally, a netizen added, “The kind of wall fence we build around our houses should be looked at. When a thief maneuver his way through, no one can come to a victim’s rescue”.
One more X user detailed, “First of all the guy knows them and the house very well. He stays in that area. I think security should be tightened it seems he made it so easy into the house.
AI has to be incorporated into these CCTV cameras to detect and blow alarm for any unusual movement and unfamiliar faces in the house”.
