Yaw Akuoko, the man grabbed by the neck and punched by Chaddar’s bodyguard has broken his silence.
According to Yaw Akuoko, he is a supporter of Nana Kwame Bediako and only sought to get closer to him.
He stated a the press conference, “It was raining and Nana was passing by, on his way, to see the queen. We were rushing to go with him and the security man turned and hit me twice,” Akuoko recounted.
“The video started trending, and Nana called me to arrange for me to come to Accra. When I arrived, they assigned a doctor to check on me. Now I’m okay and I have forgiven my brother because he himself has admitted his fault,” he added.
In the viral video shared on X, Cheddar was spotted entering a house with his entourage, a man who was also a mourner was spotted standing near the gate.
The bodyguard grabbed the man by the neck and delivered several punches, causing the man to fall to the ground.
The bodyguard then proceeded to follow his boss Cheddar.
However, it is unclear what exactly initiated the physical altercation.
Meanwhile, the New Force Movement has revealed the bodyguard has been suspended and dragged to anger management class.
According to them, Andy Acheampong, popularly known as “Seven”, has been enrolled in a 4-hour anger management course as part of efforts to address the misconduct and prevent future incidents.
The enrollment verification from the North American Learning Institute confirms that Andy Acheampong officially joined the programme on June 7, 2025.
