Two people have been arrested in connection to the Afigya Kwabre South DCE home being gutted by fire.
It has also been reported that police are investigating a possible arson attack although it is yet to be verified.
Some two NDC persons have also been arrested over suspicion of setting the house on fire.
According to reports, the fire incident happened on Saturday, June 21 night around 11 pm.
The information gathered suggests the building was unoccupied when the fire struck.
The spokesperson for the DCE, Solomon Kwaku Adomako also confirmed the structure had not yet been occupied by Madam Ankrah.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in Mamponteng Division responded swiftly to the emergency and managed to bring the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to other sections of the property.
Meanwhile, the Police are currently investigating what might have triggered the inferno.
