Five female BECE candidates from Wassa Agave D/A Basic School in the Wassa East District of the Western Region are fighting for their lives following a serious traffic accident.
The students were standing by the roadside buying food when a motorbike rider, unable to regain control, crashed into them.
The information gathered suggests the five BECE candidates have been hospitalised.
Some Ghanaians have reacted to the news by saying, “Arh Charlie this country ankasa no matter what you do someone go carry problem or trouble come your way ooo herh what is all this”.
“May God deliver us such things, cos you dey your lane saf you’re not safe oo 🤦🏾♂️”, another stated.
603,328 candidates across the country are set to sit the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), scheduled from Wednesday, June 11, to Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
The 297,250 males and 306,078 females are the first batch of students seeking to benefit from the Free Senior High School (FSHS) Policy under the new government.
