“Within the few weeks to come, I will introduce the Ghana Scholarship Authority Bill to Parliament on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, as he promised Ghanaians to deal with the issue of nepotism that was associated with the award of scholarships,” he disclosed.
He further revealed that the top ten West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) candidates every other year will qualify for President Mahama’s scholarship.
The sector minister noted that the initiative, originally intended for just three students, but President Mahama requested expansion to ten WASSCE candidates.
